Train to Västerbotten is a project run by Region Västerbotten together with Skellefteå Municipality. The aim of the project is to create conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to handle the challenge of skills supply locally and regionally. The project will support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing and hospitality sectors in developing skills in order to improve recruitment, increase reception capacity and introduce new employees from the European labour market. The implementation takes the form of analyses of participating companies, increased contact with the Public Employment Service EURES, receiving capacity of the municipality and the employer and skills development of personnel.
