This pre-study aims to investigate, clarify and map the conditions at system level for how the level of performer in the innovation ecosystem in Jämtland County can work to develop skills for smart specialisation. What bottlenecks and lock-in effects are currently found in our support systems based on our geographical conditions. The pre-study will map and provide a situational picture and strategy ahead in order to build a value-creating and effective supporting collaboration and innovation structure. Our county is defined as a low-density economy with an entrepreneurial regional innovation ecosystem in the interior of northern Sweden. The pre-study will gather knowledge from current research and practical initiatives that are analyzed based on our regional conditions and needs. The goal is to develop knowledge bases that can form the basis for a future collaborative project in order to contribute to the challenges addressed in the regional fund in smart specialisation.
