There are still large areas in Västerbotten County that have not been covered by previous broadband projects and where market forces for continued expansion are lacking.In order for the whole of Västerbotten to grow and develop, we must be able to offer residents good opportunities to live and work in all parts of the county on equal terms regardless of where in the county. The overall sustainability goal for Västerbotten is a living place where people want to stay and one of the basic conditions is good access to digital connectivity.To approach the set national targets, continued broadband expansion is a prerequisite.The purpose of the project is to reduce the number of white spots on the broadband map and thus increase the opportunities for companies and households in Västerbotten to connect to a fixed broadband network.The project will be monitored continuously through project meetings and steering group meetings.Information about the project will be disseminated through information meetings and other media as well as the municipalities' own information channels.
