The collaboration project between IUC Kalmar County and Tillväxt Gotland is based on the need for small and medium-sized companies in Kalmar County and Gotland to be able to adapt their business models and develop circular business models for industrial symbiosis or residual product synergies. The project will provide industrial and manufacturing companies in both counties with innovation processes to identify possible resource flows suitable for industrial symbiosis, theoretical test beds for these resource flows, exchange of experience and knowledge of business models for establishing circular flows in symbiosis with other companies or within their own company. With changing capabilities, companies are expected to establish new business partnerships with companies in other industries in order to develop a sustainable company and prevent and reduce their waste. The project is also expected to result in companies developing sustainable business in the environmental and climate area and applying new processes and methods.
