With the aim of promoting energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the project offers advisory measures aimed at clearing identified barriers to launching energy efficiency measures in companies. The project works on several levels around what are seen as the main obstacles for companies to initiate work on energy efficiency, lack of energy skills and lack of business benefits. Entrepreneurs are often entrepreneurs and thus neither economists nor specialists in energy issues, and participating companies are given through the partners' advisory efforts to individual companies both increased knowledge, decision-making, action and incentives for energy efficiency linked to business benefits and at the same time review the company's entire sustainability work. Companies are also offered awareness-raising seminars and webinars. Through their collaboration with each other and other actors, the project partners, the Energy Offices and Almi also contribute to capacity-enhancing development in the promotion system.
