The project Life science city wants to strengthen the Life science industry by increasing the number of employees and broadening the industry with different types of companies. The project is primarily aimed at SMEs and secondarily at individuals in the sector, the university and large companies. The project aims to contribute to the transformation of knowledge into business ideas, help companies become attractive for funding, create adapted meeting places that create conditions for collaborations between companies and academia. These partnerships contribute to increasing the region’s innovation and attractiveness . The goal is to have a diverse life science industry by 2030 with companies of different sizes that together have a turnover of over SEK 1.5 billion and 2500 jobs. The industry will contribute to solving health challenges in a sustainable way.
