The camping sector is an important part of the tourism industry in Jämtland Härjedalen and consists of small and medium-sized companies operating in mainly sparse environments. A survey carried out in the project The role of the tourism industry in regional development 2.0 shows that the camping sector in the region currently has a low digital maturity and is in great need of collaborating and exchanging experiences to strengthen its competitiveness. The project will implement activities to further develop the participating companies' networks and create a permanent arena for exchange of experience and joint development and to increase and streamline the use of digital systems and services for business development. Through workshops, training, advice and information about existing support structures, such as business support and project support via Region Jämtland Härjedalen, and learning trips, the participating companies will strengthen their competitiveness and find new market opportunities, primarily at national but also at international level.
