Access to skills, especially in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) is crucial to develop the specialization areas - tech, life science and health, food, advanced materials and manufacturing, smart sustainable cities, ESS, MAX IV and the innovation system Science Village - identified in Skåne's strategy for sustainable growth. In order to meet the competence supply challenge within STEM, the project is developing a regional support structure by strengthening and consolidating the business-promoting system in Skåne - the school and the promotion systems linked to talent attraction and business. Gender equality and equal treatment are central perspectives in the project. An inclusive labour market is a prerequisite for securing skills supply. Through the project, the specialization areas will have better access to qualified personnel, which strengthens the conditions for development and growth.
