In Sweden, distributed across different regions, there are resources in the form of skills and infrastructure that can contribute to strengthening companies. However, there are large distances between different parts of the value chain, the value offer from the system is not relevant enough to make a difference. This implementation project at national level, aims to develop a model that makes available and optimizes the innovation support system for businesses, and provides access to the main skills and the most modern infrastructure that the country has. The Nilla project is based on the food system, but the collaboration model will be replicable and used by other industries as well. The food system is particularly suited to be the arena for a new, updated cooperation model as it is not as established as other value chains in many areas. The aim is to develop a basic model for cross-sectoral and cross-regional cooperation in order to increase competitiveness and innovation capacity.
