SpyCO - Sludge pyrolysis for a circular transition (pre-study) The project will address climate and environmental challenges in water treatment in a circular way and ensure sustainable economic growth. The Swedish wastewater treatment plants produce large amounts of sludge containing plant nutrients such as phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium. There is currently no environmentally safe and cost-effective way to return the nutrients to the ground, but pyrolysis can be part of the solution. The pre-study aims to investigate the recycling and reuse of sludge in the form of biochar through new circular business models that increase productivity, resource efficiency and sustainability in water and sewage organizations and other actors that can benefit from biochar in Skåne.share on FacebookTwitterLinkedinEmailreport an issue
