Over the past decade, scientific breakthroughs in cell biology and genetics have enabled the development of new treatments called Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP). Regionally, intensive work is underway to gather expertise in the field, where Lund University is one of the leading universities for research in the field and at Skåne University Hospital in Lund, ATMP activities are conducted. In order to contribute to the utilization of the research and development conducted regionally and strengthen the research and innovation capacity of start-ups in the ATMP area, SmiLe, with the support of Region Skåne, will carry out a feasibility study, where the goal is to, together with key actors, have developed a concept for how incubator activities in the ATMP area can be conducted in southern Sweden. In addition to project management, the pre-study includes four analyses: environment, stakeholders, target group, Agenda2030 and an activity focusing on concept development and planning of test and development of the concept.
