The project involves investigating how a section of Viksjöleden can be developed into a multifunctional street that contributes to a more sustainable and vibrant urban environment in Jakobsberg. Viksjöleden is today a barrier between Jakobsbergs center and Nibble. Viksjöleden is designed as a traffic route with double lanes, ramps for off / overtaking and level-separated intersections for pedestrians and bicycle users. The transformation will create a more attractive environment that increases the district's attractiveness for residents, visitors and operators alike. The aim is to reduce the environmental impact of car traffic while integrating adjacent areas with each other and to reduce the barrier effect of Viksjöleden. The aim is also to increase accessibility for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. This by, among other things, creating safe and clear paths along the route but also between Nibble and Jakobsbergs center. The investigation will result in proposed measures, including cost estimates for these.
