The solar and battery industry is expanding and facing new challenges and new opportunities as the market grows. In order to increase the degree of innovation in the companies' products and offerings, research and development work is needed based on current knowledge. The project builds a laboratory environment around applied solar power technology and medium-sized battery storage and integrates with the other energy technology environment at Dalarna University. Through the expanded laboratory research opportunities, new R&D projects will be initiated through international cooperation and through collaboration with the region's business community. The project strengthens the research and innovation environment around solar power technology at Dalarna University and gives SMEs in the region access to laboratory equipment and research expertise within academia and thereby gets help to create better and more sustainable products and services. This strengthens businesses and gives them a better opportunity to develop in order to be active players in the green transition.
