The project aims to increase the conditions for research- and needs-driven innovation among companies in the forest industry and its subcontractors in Upper Norrland, a designated area for smart specialisation in both counties. This is done by establishing a neutral innovation environment for the forest industry in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, where companies are stimulated to functional and geographically independent collaboration, both with other industries, research institutes and academia.
