The purpose of the preliminary study is to investigate and analyze the conditions that Jämtland County has to take a position in the textile field and build up a knowledge node about the challenges and problems that the textile industry faces in the green transition. The county has a number of companies in the textile industry, mainly linked to the outdoor industry as well as academic environments such as the material testing lab at Mid Sweden University. The goal is to identify models and tools that can support the county's textile companies in the transition to circular processes and business models, and to map the circularity of material flows and textile reuse. The result of the pre-study shall result in a pre-study report and recommendations for one or several upcoming implementation projects.
