The preparatory study "Equality of learning" focuses on renewing and improving skills development methods in an increasingly digitalised and globalised world, with particular emphasis on equality and accessibility. It addresses the challenges faced by the public sector, specifically the 13 municipalities in the Gothenburg Region Association of Local Authorities. These challenges are the result of rapid changes in the structure and skills requirements of the labour market, driven by technological advances and demographic changes. In the welfare sector, these challenges are particularly evident, where the need for effective and innovative solutions is critical in order to deliver high-quality services to an ageing population combined with low birth rates. The project focuses on investigating how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to develop personalised digital assistants, which would make learning and skills development more accessible and tailored to the individual's needs. This includes a thorough analysis of the existing systems, identification of specific needs and challenges of different professions, and evaluation of potential technological solutions. By collaborating with the participating municipalities in the Gothenburg region and relevant industry councils, the project strives to ensure that the developed solutions are deeply rooted and tailored to meet the region's specific needs and conditions.
