The Youth Work and Studies Unit (EASU) at the Labour and Social Services Administration in the City of Malmö will implement the project Social Guidance Young Malmö to reduce economic vulnerability among young adults (18-29 years) in the areas of Rosengård, Nydala, Hermodsdal and Lindängen. The action aims to increase opportunities for work and studies and reduce mental illness and social isolation. Primary target group is people enrolled at EASU and living in the specific areas. Secondary target groups are people enrolled at Arbetsförmedlingen and living in the specific areas, as well as other individuals aged 18-29 living there. Through social guidance, the project will support the target group through four parallel tracks: 1. Information activities at group and individual level 2. On-site drop-in guidance in the areas concerned 3. Consultation and specific measures 4. The goal is for 160 participants to take part in the project, of which 80 will have access to in-depth guidance. Those who receive in-depth guidance should, through their participation, make a positive step-change closer to the labour market.
