Young force Järva

A high proportion of young adults aged 18-29 living in Husby, Rinkeby and Tensta live in social isolation and economic vulnerability. These individuals are at risk of long-term mental and physical ill-health, social isolation and exclusion, impaired opportunities for independent living, weak position in working life later in life, and various forms of social problems such as crime and addiction. The districts are rich in diversity, but also have major challenges with high unemployment, segregation and differences in health and other living conditions. There are many reasons why young adults live in social isolation and economic vulnerability in the Järva area. Often there are several factors that can have a cumulative effect. These include lack of personal resources and prerequisites, level of education and knowledge, social capital in the form of private and professional networks, lack of trust in and fear of authorities, and limitations in living space due to honour-related violence and oppression. At the organisational level, internal and external interactions are fragmentary and personal. The project Ung kraft Järva intends to gather strength for the development of a locally adapted working model for a collaboration platform aimed at the target group young adults 18-29 years. The project will consist of locally based case managers who build trusting relationships with individuals in need of support in adulthood. Ungkraft Järva shall be a representative of Järva district administration (SDF) and offer the target group low-threshold activities, i.e. an easy way into Järva SDF, the labour market administration and other partners. The project aims to work with the "gap" in ordinary activities and create conditions for a keeping structure around the individual. The working model should be permeated by three branches; collaboration and coordination, target group-adapted group and individual activities. Through its activities, Young Power Järva will increase the conditions for the target group's participation in public space and association life. In summary, the overall impact targets are increased conditions for young adults, especially women to take an active part in society on equal terms and increased social inclusion, independence and good health. The aim of the project is to strengthen opportunities for young adults aged 18-29 in Husby, Tensta and Rinkeby to take an active part in society, including studies and work. The target group of the project is young adults between the ages of 18 and 29 living in relative poverty living in Husby, Rinkeby and Tensta. Of these, the following target groups are particularly prioritised in the project: Young foreign-born women/women with non-European background Young women with children Young individuals with experience in community care Young individuals with mental illness and/or reduced functional capacity. The target group has different conditions and needs depending on gender, gender identity, age, and background. The project will pay particular attention to reaching out to the specific priority target groups. The project will take into account and pay attention to all grounds of discrimination in all decisions taken. The project is expected to run from 22 April 2024 to 21 April 2027.
