The project is aimed at the target group pupils on adapted education in upper secondary school and in adult education. The target group can also be found in daily activities. Participants must have an intellectual disability and be between 18-24 years of age. The project wants to be able to contribute to a reduction in discrimination against the target group, contribute to a more inclusive labour market and build collaborations that remove obstacles for both job seekers and employers. The goal is that more pupils in adapted education have approached the labour market, moved on to employment or studies or that work ability has been investigated and clarified. The transition from school to work has been facilitated and there is coordination and cooperation among the pupils. The aim of the project is to achieve this by providing individually adapted support using the method supported employment, which has been developed with a special focus on the target group with an intellectual disability. The work will support the schools in working with focus on APL and cooperation with employers and that APL is a first step towards employment. The project will put a strong focus on employers and make them see opportunities in a broadened supply of skills. Supported employment provides support in 5 steps, mapping, finding a workplace, training at the workplace, getting a job and providing support during employment. This should be ensured by Arbetskonsulent and Företagskonsulent together with the schools. This, in turn, should form the basis for how developed support based on APL can be designed, anchored and implemented in the schools' regular activities. Project results will be disseminated to partners and stakeholders. The project will pay particular attention to the regions in ÖMS and create a platform for dissemination and explore opportunities for future cooperation around the target group.
