Central Norrland's challenges for both the public and private sectors have gradually increased in line with a declining population base and fewer individuals of working age, a rising number of older residents and the fact that many young people are moving away from the region. Care and welfare are becoming more difficult to cope with and the list of shortage occupations has become longer. The challenges of obtaining and retaining labour are growing as competitiveness increases, while it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and increase the level of skills needed to keep up with societal developments. We need to utilise all working-age labour available in the municipality, based on the individual's conditions, to meet current and future demand while increasing accessibility, equality and diversity. The project we want to implement will strengthen and develop the organizational collaboration and organization in the municipality through the creation of innovative methods and approaches that improve the structures around skills supply and knowledge development; a way of working for our municipal organization, our entrepreneurs and the inhabitants of the municipality who today are outside the labour market to build a stronger Timrå.
