Fast Care - Come in

The project "Fast care -Kom in" is based on two well-functioning Care projects: "Care-growth power for generations", which has been conducted in Emmaboda and Nybro and "Care-Kronoberg cares" which has been conducted in seven of Kronoberg County's eight municipalities. Both projects have had the main purpose of making it easier for the Ukrainians who have come to our municipalities to make step movements towards self-sufficiency in their new country. The projects have focused on coordinating efforts and matching. At the same time, various forms of social intervention have also been important. The needs of the target group have been varied and the meeting with the individual is crucial to achieve the desired step transfer. Sometimes the participants in the project needed help to be matched with the right employer, but sometimes greater efforts were needed regarding, for example, social support and health. The applied project "Fast-Care - Come in" is based on the experience we have gained in the projects and we have recently concluded that we want to work together: the municipalities of Emmaboda, Nybro, Alvesta, Lessebo, Ljungby, Markaryd, Uppvidinge, Tingsryd, Älmhult and Växjö. We are a total of 10 municipalities that want to cooperate and benefit from each other's experiences to make life as good as possible for the Ukrainians who have come here in accordance with the EU's mass refugee directive. The main focus of the project will be matching with jobs, with an extra focus on the private sector. In addition to this, we will work a lot with the participants' health, which we have seen has been a challenge for many. The health problems that need to be addressed are varied and of different degrees. As adult Ukrainians are not entitled to more than "care that cannot be delayed", there are gaps for the project to fill. It can be anything from social activities that can also meet the participants' children's needs, various forms of psychosocial support to gym cards. The government has now decided that Ukrainians also have the right to SFI, but there is still a great need to understand their new country. Societal information is therefore also a priority in the project. The efforts in "Fast care - Come in" will lead to participants - citizens from Ukraine who have come here in accordance with the EU's mass refugee directive - getting a better foundation to stand on in their new life in Sweden.
