Fast Care Hyllie Park

Since spring 2022, Sweden has been hosting refugees from Ukraine in accordance with the EU's Mass Refuge Directive. These have been granted employment permits and many of them have been supported through various CARE projects. However, there is much more to be done as challenges for the project's target group largely remain. Persons covered by the Mass Refuge Directive cannot take part in all ordinary operations because they are not registered in the population register in Sweden. They do not have the opportunity to take part in labour market policy programmes and measures such as the Swedish Public Employment Service’s programme “Rusta och matcha” and there are limitations in some municipalities when it comes to studying Swedish. They find it difficult to enter the labour market without built-up networks and contacts, knowledge of the Swedish labour market and the Swedish language. The aim of the project is for the participants from the target group to take steps closer to self-sufficiency and feel a greater social inclusion. The objectives of the project are to: • the target group should be closer to the labour market and the proportion of people who get a job should increase. • the experience of social inclusion and integration is increasing. We will start from the working method that we use in the Swedish Public Employment Service's program "Rusta och matcha" to provide support to approach the labour market and find work. Experience from the Care Hyllie Park project will also be utilised. Participants will be offered individual conversations, opportunities for internships, languages, individual support and health promotion. Social and networking activities will also be offered. Through these skills-enhancing efforts during the project period, the participants will approach the goals of the project. FAST Care Hyllie Park will be run in Malmö, Kristianstad and Simrishamn. The project is carried out by Hyllie Park Talentbyrån, a company with two idea owners, Hyllie Park folk high school and Skillinge Missionshus. The project will have Hyllie Park Folkhögskola as a partner. Folkhögskolan conducts extensive SFI activities in several locations, offering 1-3 year-old courses to study at the basic and upper secondary level (general courses), as well as several specialized courses and vocational training (special courses). Through close cooperation with the folk high school, we are in the same premises, we get in touch with the target group we want to reach in our project. Other partners are local churches at each location. They have been involved in Care Hyllie Park through regular language cafes, arranging excursions and parties, study visits, etc. Churches have been and will continue to be an important part of social inclusion. These three churches are: • Hyllie Park Church in Malmö • Östermalm Church in Kristianstad • Skillinge Missionshus in Simrishamn Municipality
