In the long term, the Sustainable Health! project aims to increase the proportion of upper secondary school students who pass their upper secondary school degree and have good mental and health. To achieve this impact goal, the project wants to work to improve young people's physical health, which has a positive impact on mental health. Physical activity in combination with social belonging we hope will strengthen the target group and contribute positively to the study results. The target group is all upper secondary school pupils, but with a special focus on those pupils who are physically inactive, have mental illness and who are at risk of not passing their upper secondary school exam and ending up in long-term exclusion. The project is a collaboration between Wisbygymnasiet and RF SISU Gotland. Together with the Gotland sports federations, which lost about 30% of their active youth after the pandemic, we hope to offer attractive activities in connection with the end of the school day. The project will work agile because the target group will have a great influence on the range of activities; There must be flexibility. 53 different sports are represented at RF SISU, these are divided into 184 sports clubs - which enables a wide range of exciting movement and wellness activities. In order to achieve the project objectives, close cooperation will also take place with internal municipal activities (Elevhälsan, KAA, the region's youth department, Kulturskolan, SkolESO, Skol IF, Idrottsgymnasiet, IM). A pre-study is ongoing that will provide good conditions for the project's progress and builds the basis for delivering knowledge about what the target group considers important in the form of activities and support for the promotion of pupils' health.
