ISA Interventions in collaboration for young people in Region Uppsala

Project ISA - Interventions in collaboration for young people in Region Uppsala is a collaboration project in Region Uppsala for the target group young women, young men and young people with a different gender between the ages of 13 and 29 who need support to continue their studies or return to study or work. Eight parties will join forces to help solve a common problem. Region Uppsala is the project owner and the parties intending to cooperate are Heby Municipality, Håbo Municipality, Knivsta Municipality, Tierps Municipality, Uppsala Municipality, the Education Administration, Uppsala Municipality, the Labour Market Administration, Älvkarleby Municipality and the Coordination Association in Uppsala County. The problem that the project intends to solve is that the proportion of young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs) in Region Uppsala is too high. Therefore, measures must be implemented to combat early school leaving, improve school outcomes and increase interaction between relevant stakeholders in the region. An adjacent problem is that we are poor at collaboration for learning and an important prerequisite for achieving the expected effects of the call for proposals for individuals and organizations, which is that we become better at meeting the overall needs of the target group and that we develop collaboration with the individual's conditions in focus in Region Uppsala. Based on this problem analysis, the project will work with preventive and outreach activities, motivational activities, knowledge-enhancing activities and activities for collaboration. Activities take place at the local level, in the municipalities, between the municipalities and regionally. Great focus will be placed on organization and activities that will develop and promote collaboration in the region. The strength of the project is that so many actors from the county participate. The activities of the project will address the individual level, the organizational level and the structural level. The project will apply methods to support the target group to undergo activities and work to prevent study interruptions for young people and prevent individuals from falling into exclusion, as well as methods for increased collaboration around the target group. In order for the project and its actions to concretely contribute to increased gender equality and equality in the relevant arenas for the project, the horizontal principles of equality, accessibility and non-discrimination will permeate both actions and activities as well as the approach / approach between the participants, participants, project employees and collaborating organizations. The expected results of the project are; increasing the number of young women, young men and young people of different genders entering work, studies or the labour market; increasing the number of young women, young men and young people of different genders completing regular education at primary, secondary and post-secondary levels; That the collaborating organisations better meet the overall needs of the target group. To develop collaboration with the individual's conditions in focus in Region Uppsala. The expected long-term impact of the project is that it contributes to: To prevent early school leaving To improve school results in Region Uppsala An increased collaboration between relevant actors for the target group An increased participation in working life or education for young women and men in Region Uppsala.
