The project's goal is knowledge-based and quality-assured working methods and routines to prevent early school leaving, reduce problematic absenteeism and prevent, reduce and counteract exclusion. Social development places new and increased demands on preventive work and targeted interventions. There is a perceived sense of segregation as well as increased polarization and exclusion, which is not least evident in schools. This is manifested in children and young people through, among other things, increased mental illness, cases linked to violence, honour-related violence and oppression, and cases with suspicions of radicalisation and violent extremism . A longer period of time outside studies and work can have long-term consequences for both the individual and society, including reduced opportunities to get a job, financial vulnerability and poorer health. Early and coordinated support is important to support young people who otherwise risk being permanently excluded from studies and work. There is thus a need to develop a more comprehensive collaboration model and coordinated planning both on a structural and individual level around the people who need support from several different actors.
