FUN (Promote Youth Presence) is a project aimed at young people aged 13-16. The problem analysis underlying the project shows that there is a problem with primary school pupils not reaching upper secondary school eligibility, not completing their studies and that there are inequalities in the target group. This shows a need for action already in primary school. The project focuses on initiatives that increase attendance and thereby increase the proportion of people who leave compulsory school with upper secondary school qualifications. This is done through a variety of actions at both individual and group level. The project also works for organizational and structural changes to bring about lasting changes that promote students' presence, health and opportunities for further studies. The project conducts activities at secondary schools in all Gävleborg County municipalities. Objectives of the project at individual level: • 1 000 pupils to participate in actions promoting school attendance. In this way, the project will increase the proportion of pupils who finish primary school with an upper secondary qualification and reduce differences in eligibility depending on gender, country of birth and parents' level of education. Objectives of the project at organisational level: • Improved cooperation within municipalities on pupils' educational outcomes and absences. • Increased collaboration between municipalities, the project owner Region Gävleborg and other actors around the target group.
