Young people's participation in School as arena/Lights on The project is a three-year ESF+ funded project aimed at reducing the impact of child poverty by strengthening and developing methods for children's and young people's participation in school and leisure time. The project is a development work linked to School as arena/Lights on. The overall purpose of Skola as an arena is to equalize differences in children's growing up conditions and all children's right to a good life. By giving children the opportunity for an active leisure time in the vicinity of important adults, we contribute to safe contexts that can be of great importance for how the children succeed in school and for how things go for them later in life. Within the framework of the school arena, the project will develop methods for children's and young people's participation. The target group for the project is children aged 6-18 and living in areas in Gothenburg with high relative poverty/child poverty. The project takes place in broad collaboration with the City of Gothenburg's school and social services, housing companies, the voluntary sector and local actors.
