The ongoing green transition in northern Norrland will give rise to extensive labour needs for a long time. New establishments and a strong labour market mean that labour needs will gradually increase in all sectors. In the long term, there are opportunities for new industries and industries to establish themselves in the region, which makes the skills supply issue alive and complex. The existing, structural conditions for dealing with the exponentially increased need for skills are in need of development. Boden and Luleå municipality have for a long time developed a collaboration in different areas. As a result of a number of positive events, including the publication of establishment in the green transition, cooperation between municipalities was further deepened. The aim is for the municipalities to jointly be the leading region in the sustainable social transition. For this to be possible, extraordinary efforts are needed in a relatively short period of time. The overall objectives of the project are to create a common platform and coordination structure for skills supply in order to reach a seamless and efficient skills supply process in the joint labour market region Boden Luleå. Furthermore, the project will contribute to the labour market region becoming a hub for growth through stable skills supply and to increase the attractiveness of Boden Luleå.
