Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence-based approach to work rehabilitation, which aims to support people with mental disabilities to succeed in the regular labour market. From the start of the project, the project aims to integrate a work specialist into the outpatient care team at Psykosvården, who provides support for work or studies for patients with mainly schizophrenia and psychotic problems. Researchers at Örebro University will be associated with the project and primarily follow patients, but also project and healthcare professionals. The aim is to be able to show if IPS support has good effects when working team-based, with both caring and work rehabilitation efforts at the same time ongoing. At the same time, the project wants to provide increased opportunities for an inclusive and sustainable working life for those who have few opportunities to reach work or study. The principles of non-discrimination, gender equality, accessibility and sustainable development shall run as a common thread throughout the duration of the project.
