The subject of the investment is the sewerage of tourist traffic in protected areas through the design and construction of a section of the Lower Silesian Cyclostrada - Miedziana Route in the municipality of Przemków from the border with the Lubuskie Voivodeship to the border with the municipality of Gromadka with a length of approximately 9.4 km. The planned investment is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Polkowice County, in the municipality of Przemków. The route along the entire length is in line with the Concept of the network of the main cycle routes of the Dolnośląskie region – Dolnośląska Cyklostrada. The cycle path along the entire length will run through the Przemkowski Landscape Park, the Nature Reserve "Łęgi ródliskowe near Przemkowa" for a length of about 0.39 km and through the Natura 2000 site, the special protection area for birds "Bory Dolnośląskie" [PLB 020005] for a length of about 1.46 km. As part of the project, throughout the entire section of the path, it is planned to design the organization of traffic along with marking the bicycle route, make plantings, restore greenery (grasslands), install a cyclist service place (MOR) in the extended scope on the basis of the requirements of the Design and Implementing Standards for the bicycle infrastructure of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and install information and educational boards. The main objective of the project is to reduce anthropopressure by channelling tourist traffic in protected areas located in the Przemków commune. The planned bicycle path will allow you to limit vehicular traffic in undesirable places. Designation of routes is also an indication of the direction of development of cycling tourism, and consequently the protection of protected and valuable areas. The project is also a response to the growing popularity of bicycles as a means of transport, as well as an active form of tourism and recreation. It is an attempt to meet the expectations of residents, tourists who need safe and comfortable cycling routes. The resulting cycle path will be a link between tourist attractions and will contribute to the expansion of the tourist offer of the region. Tourism demand will increase, the attractiveness of the region will increase and the seasonality of the tourist offer will be reduced. The development of cycling tourism will increase the demand for accompanying services, i.e. accommodation, service and gastronomy. As a result, investments in cycling infrastructure will increase employment in the region. In addition, it will lay the foundations for zero-emission mobility and environmentally friendly tourism. As a result, orderly tourist traffic will exclude "wild paths" and will contribute to limiting uncontrolled access to areas of natural value. The indicated actions are in line with the objectives of FEDS 2021-2027, i.e. the specific objective - "Strengthening the protection and conservation of nature. biodiversity and green infrastructure and reducing pollution. The result of the project will be the protection of nature and biodiversity through the development of tourist traffic in protected areas. Direct support concerns protected areas and the social sphere, by enabling the use of the built cycling infrastructure by tourists and the local community. Indirect support will cover the economic sphere, e.g. by increasing the tourist attractiveness of the region. The beneficiary will also carry out information and promotion activities provided for by the FEDS Guidelines 2021-2027, i.e. the purchase of promotional and information materials, the organisation of a meeting summarising the implementation of the project and the installation of information and promotion boards.
