"Purchase of new five-unit Electric Traction Units"

The aim of the Project is to purchase 10 new, zero-emission Electric Traction Units (ETUs), which will be used for public passenger transport. EZT will be used on all relations operated by the Company covered by the existing public service contract - PSC. The purchase of new rolling stock will strengthen the potential of Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A., one of the leading local government carriers operating regional transport in Lower Silesia. All purchased vehicles reach a top speed of 160 km/h and acceleration of 0.8-1.2 m/s2, they also have the possibility of using multiple traction. All trainsets purchased shall comply with the TSI Technical Specifications for Interoperability in accordance with the applicable rules. Vehicles are equipped with additional elements increasing the accessibility of railways for people with disabilities and reduced mobility (including a low floor, a toilet adapted for people in wheelchairs), single-space (no doors and so-called bridges between wagons), air-conditioned and monitored, seats are equipped with electrical sockets and USB chargers. Vehicles purchased under the Project are equipped with modules of the European Train Control System ERTMS/ETCS, in accordance with all applicable laws, standards and technical regulations. The eligible expenditure of the Project is: • purchase of 10 new Electric Traction Units, • promotional activities. The ineligible expenditure of the Project is: • VAT, • training of employees in the maintenance and operation of vehicles, • crash-repair package, • design documentation. The project includes activities such as: elaboration of the Feasibility Study (FPS), carrying out the Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), performance of the contract with the Contractor (PESA Bydgoszcz) for delivery, carrying out the procurement procedure related to information and promotion activities and carrying out information and promotion activities. The project is not carried out within a purchasing group. The purchased rolling stock will be used for regional transport operations.
