The project Vocational training in the Academic University of Technology on the way to success assumes the support of students and teachers of vocational subjects. The project will be implemented in 2024-2026. The main objective of the project is to access good quality vocational education and to increase the employability of 150 students aged 16-19 (41K,109M) of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, educating in the professions of logistics technicians and IT technicians, and to increase the professional activity of students, through activities aimed at supplementing and enriching the educational offer (traineeships, specialist trainings, patronage classes, the creation of 4 modern studios: Internet of Things (IoT) studio, ecological studio, 3D graphics and virtual reality studio, Computer Networks Laboratory) and obtaining the rights currently desired on the labor market, including so much desired green competences. In addition, the project aims to raise the practical competence of 7 teachers aged 30-50 (3K,4M) of professional subjects necessary to provide students with up-to-date knowledge in the IT and logistics industry, tailored to the requirements of employers. The project responds to the diagnosed problem, which is the lack of actions to educate students in an environment reflecting the natural professional environment and the lack of financial resources to cover the costs of obtaining hard qualifications that increase their chances on the local labour market, for which the demand was diagnosed. Project support will ensure that the educational gap in supplementing vocational education with modules on practical aspects of vocational education is filled also in cooperation with the business community. The project assumes the implementation of the following activities: - educational and professional advice - organisation of internships in particular in the sectors covered by the Lower Silesian innovation strategy 2030 - creation of patronage classes - undertaking or increasing cooperation between schools and institutions organizing vocational teaching with universities - cooperation between the Academic University of Technology and employers and their surroundings - classes improving students' key skills - courses, training and other forms of support preparing students to take up higher education - organizing and providing psychological and pedagogical counseling - workshops developing students' skills - setting up and equipping the Internet of Things (IoT) Laboratory, ecological laboratory, computer networks laboratory, 3D graphics and virtual reality laboratory - industry training at employers for teachers - implementation of classes popularizing mathematics science Main results of the project: - 120 pupils will acquire qualifications in non-school forms of education -1 the school will be equipped with equipment used in vocational education -7 vocational education teachers will acquire competences in the field of teaching vocational subjects The project activities are in line with the directions of implementation of the Recommendations of the EU Council of 24 November 2020 on vocational education and training for sustainable competitiveness, social fairness and resilience 2020/C 417/01, which contributes to the achievement of the specific objective (ESF+)-.CP4.F - Promoting equal access to good quality, inclusive education and training ... with more detailing the development of vocational education.
