The project consists in the construction of bicycle and walking - bicycle roads in Świdnica. The investment will consist of four parts implementing the material scope of the project, i.e.: - Part 1: : Construction of a bicycle path connecting Os. Young people from the center of Świdnica, - part 2: Construction of a pedestrian-cycling line between ul. The weather and the Zawiszów estate in Świdnica, - part 3: Reconstruction of ul. Kazimierz Wielki in the construction of a bicycle path on the section from ul. Gen. W. Andersa to ul. T. Ząbka, - part 4: Extension of the district road no. 2876D ul. Bystrzycka in the town of Świdnica, consisting in the construction of a pedestrian-cycling route. As a result of the project, 3,0250 km of new cycling roads will be created, which will improve the mobility of residents and will be an element of clean urban transport infrastructure, reducing the pressure of car traffic on the environment. The project will contribute to a better use of means of transport other than passenger cars, which will improve air quality and contribute positively to improving the quality of public spaces and the environment. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the attractiveness of Świdnica and the Wałbrzych Agglomeration and will help in attracting new residents and visitors. The construction of new bicycle roads will also make it easier for residents to reach places where workplaces and social infrastructure facilities are located. Implementation of the project will bring the following benefits: ENVIRONMENTAL: reducing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere; improving air quality and the health of residents; improving the attractiveness of the sites covered by the project, reducing the environmental pressures of car traffic; ECONOMIC: creating a safe infrastructure for cycling; increasing the tourist attractiveness of the municipality, creating a coherent cycling infrastructure; SOCIAL: improving the safety of cyclists; social activation, increasing the mobility of residents, improving the living conditions of residents through access to safe cycling infrastructure. The aim of the project is to improve the mobility of citizens and the need to reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment. The actions, objectives and effects identified shall be consistent and consistent with the objectives of the FEDS 2021-2027, i.e. specific objective FST.CP.6.I – enabling regions and people to mitigate the social, employment, economic and environmental impacts of the transition towards the Union’s 2030 targets for energy and climate and towards a climate-neutral economy of the Union by 2050 based on the Paris Agreement. The project will be implemented in the area of the ITI of the Wałbrzych Functional Area and is included in the basic list of the ITI WOF Strategy for 2021-2027 under item No 81. The recipients of the project will be residents of the Municipality of Świdnica and residents of ZIT WOF. The Applicant, Investor and Beneficiary of the project will be the Municipality of the City of Świdnica, which will be responsible for the project at all stages of its implementation. There are no partners or implementing entities in the project. The infrastructure will be operated by the Municipality of Świdnica. The beneficiary will carry out information and promotion activities in accordance with the FEDS 2021-2027 guidelines (information board, information on the applicant's website, marking documents related to the implementation of the project).
