The project is a joint initiative of Nowa Ruda Commune and Radków Commune. It includes thermomodernisation and replacement of heat sources in sports and educational facilities. The municipalities concerned will carry out the project on their own behalf. The main objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the above-mentioned facilities and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to the improvement of air quality in municipalities. Fulfilling the main objective will allow the achievement of milestones, i.e.: - reducing heating costs, - improving the quality of life of residents, - improving thermal comfort in public facilities, - increasing the use of renewable energy sources. These objectives are logically linked and together contribute to a healthier, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly environment. The implementation of the activities will include pub buildings, i.e.: SP in Bożków, a sports complex and nursery in Ścinawce Środa, the Cultural and Sports Centre in Ratna Górna and the Centre for Rural Initiatives in Ścinawce Górna. The social, economic and environmental benefits of carrying out the project in these municipalities are as follows: - will reduce heating and electricity bills by improving the energy efficiency of buildings, - will reduce municipal expenditure on maintaining facilities, allowing the saved funds to be allocated to other public purposes, - will reduce air pollution especially during the heating season in municipalities, - they will become a model for other institutions, attracting additional initiatives and investments in the region, - will improve air quality, which will positively affect the health of residents of municipalities and the entire ecosystem - will increase the comfort of using facilities thanks to better thermal insulation and modern heating systems, - will contribute to the sustainable development of local communities, promoting innovative ecological solutions and increasing pro-ecological awareness of residents. The investment scope includes, among others: - thermal insulation of walls, roof, floors, - modernization of heating and cooling systems, - use of renewable energy sources, - implementation of non-audit works. The planned thermomodernisation results directly from the energy audits carried out. The need to implement the project is the result of diagnosed problems of municipalities, including: insufficient thermal insulation of buildings, energy losses during heating, poor technical condition of facilities, outdated heating system and lowering their aesthetics. Municipalities have technical documentation and energy audits, which were drawn up not earlier than two years from the year in which the call was announced. Radków Municipality submitted an application for a building permit on 26.07.2024. The project is in line with Priority 9 of FEDS, with the scope and specific objective JSO8.1. The measures taken will increase the energy efficiency of buildings by reducing CO2 and harmful dust emissions and increasing the production of energy from renewable sources. The project will contribute to the sustainable development of the region and is associated with long-term benefits, which include improving public health in the region, increasing educational and professional efficiency. The facilities of the Centre for Rural Initiatives in Ścinawce Górna and the sports complex in Ścinawce Środa will be adapted for people with disabilities by installing an elevator for their transport. The remaining buildings are already well-adapted, so no additional improvements are planned under the project. In addition, the project has planned information and promotion activities that will comply with the guidelines in their scope. An information and memorial board will be installed on each building covered by the investment. As part of the cost-free activities, it is planned to promote the project on the Partners' websites and in social media.
