The main objective of the project is to replace coal-based heat production with biomass-based heat production. The project includes the construction of a biomass-fired water boiler with an installed thermal capacity of 3 MWt along with associated infrastructure. The material scope of the project includes: construction of a boiler room building with accompanying infrastructure (such as: biomass silo or car scale), biomass boiler installation, connection to the heat network, design (executive) documentation, electrical installation and AKPiA installation. The designed water boiler for biomass will be part of the Heat Plant in Świecie (before the implementation of the Project, the installed capacity of the Heat Plant in Świecie is 24MW, after the implementation of the Project, the installed capacity will increase to 27MW) and will supply heat to the city heating system in Świecie (with an ordered capacity of 29.6MW). Taking into account the difference between the power ordered by customers in the district heating system (29.6MW) and the power installed in the existing heating plant (24MW), the designed biomass boiler will handle the power gap ordered in the amount of 5.6MW. Both the heating plant and the district heating system in Świecie are owned by VEOLIA Północ. For the needs of the biomass boiler house, it is planned to build a new building in the area of the World Heat Plant and include the biomass boiler house in the existing distributors in the coal boiler house building. The designed boiler will be powered by biomass in the form of wood chips with a calorific value of 18.0 MJ/kg. The annual heat output will be 64 800 GJ. The project is fully ready for implementation. It has a valid building permit decision, a valid decision to discontinue proceedings for issuing a decision on environmental conditions, a certificate of no significant impact on Natura 2000 sites, the right to dispose of real estate for construction purposes. The project provides for information and promotion activities such as: - marking with the sign of the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomerania 2021-2027 all information and promotion activities related to the project, documents related to the implementation of the project made public, documents and materials intended for project participants; - placing a commemorative plaque located at the Company's headquarters and 1 information plaque. Information and promotion activities shall constitute an ineligible cost and shall be covered by own resources.
