Green Inowrocław - Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation - Phase I

The implementation of the project concerns actions aimed at increasing the resilience of the city and adaptation to climate change, aimed at reducing the effects of extreme climate phenomena. The investment includes activities related to the development of a green area for a rain garden intended to retain rainwater along with the reconstruction (renovation) of a retention pond, which, by adjusting the parameters of the overflow to the well on the basis of connected vessels, will allow water abstraction for the purposes of watering urban green areas. The action also concerns planting street greenery along Józef Glemp's Primate Street. The entire investment will be carried out in the city of Inowrocław, i.e. an urbanized area. The material scope of the project includes: 1. Construction works - Reconstruction of the retention pond at ul. Szymborska, including by widening and deepening the existing pond, which has now lost its retention function due to numerous nanoses, silts and shrubs. The task includes deepening the pond by about 90 cm, and by making a tight well, the possibility of storing excess water will be achieved, which will be taken to water the green areas of the city. 2. The construction works - the Rain Garden on Major Wacław Szewieliński's Square - as part of the task, the adaptation of the existing square to a rain garden was planned. The task includes carrying out care activities of the current greenery with planting new shrubs, trees, perennials and grasses after the previous construction of the filter surface. It is also planned to sow the lawn. 3. Roadside greenery at ul. Primate Józef Glemp - on the section from al. Independence to the turbine roundabout within the street of Primate Józef Glemp in Inowrocław will be carried out planting bushes, perennials and grasses along with sowing the lawn, making bark mulching and making a grit surface with separation of planting elements using concrete cube and eco-bord. 4. Educational activities, including the implementation of campaigns and activities in the field of education and the promotion of good practices in relation to climate issues, the protection of water resources and environmental security in a broad sense, together with a reference to the objectives and impacts of adaptation to climate change in connection with the investment activities undertaken. The implementation of educational activities is planned in a formula available to all interested in climate issues, regardless of age, knowledge, predisposition and physical capabilities. 5. Indirect costs settled at a flat rate of 1% of eligible direct costs, including information and promotion activities, including: - identification of documents and materials related to the project; - placing 3 permanent information and memorabilia boards on the project site; - posting information about the project and the funding obtained on the website of the City of Inowrocław and on the social media profile. The applicant has full project documentation and permits determining formal and legal readiness, including: notification of the execution of construction works not requiring a building permit for the task related to the execution of the rain garden of 27 June 2024, together with the absence of objections and the decision issued by PGW Wody Polski, Zakład Zlewnia w Inowrocławiu, ref.
