Safe Kujawy and Pomerania - purchase of equipment and vehicles for TSO units

The project entitled "Safe Kujawy and Pomerania - purchase of equipment and vehicles for TSO units" assumes equipping 107 Voluntary Fire Brigade units with rescue and firefighting cars (29 pieces), operating cars (3 pieces), special cars for the transport of rescuers (11 pieces), multi-purpose vehicles of the UTV type (6 pieces), rescue boats (10 pieces), specialized trailers (17 pieces), hydraulic rescue tools (12 sets), hydraulic electric rescue tools (23 sets), firefighting motopomps (12 pieces), operational drones (6 pieces). The main objective of the project is to increase the security of the region by strengthening the chemical and ecological rescue system and rescue services. The subject of the project is the retrofitting of TSO units in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship with vehicles and equipment necessary to carry out rescue operations. The project will contribute to ensuring effective rescue operations and removing the effects of natural hazards and counteracting major accidents. The general objective is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region by increasing security and the possibility of providing assistance to residents and removing the effects of threats. The project is implemented in partnership. The project leader is the Provincial Branch of the Polish TSO Association Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The project partners, i.e. entities participating substantively and financially in the project, will be 107 TSO units from all land districts of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. As part of the implementation of the project, the following tasks are planned: preparation of the Investment Plan;-purchase of vehicles and equipment under an open tender procedure, in accordance with Article 132 of the Public Procurement Law Act of 11 September 2019 (Journal of Laws 2023, item 1605, as amended) The applicant will fulfil the obligation to carry out promotional and information activities in accordance with the Manual of the applicant and beneficiary of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of information and promotion. It is planned, among others, to place mandatory FE marks, PB and EU colours, stickers on fixed assets, marking the place of project implementation by placing an information board, placing information on the website and social media, the final conference of the project, during which the purchased equipment will be presented and the objectives of the project implementation presented. The project complies with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities, and the project’s products will be accessible to all persons regardless of their sex, race, colour, ethnic and social origin, genetic features, language, religions and beliefs, political opinions, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age and sexual orientation, in accordance with the accessibility standards for cohesion policy 2021-2027.The most important target group of beneficiaries are the inhabitants of the voivodship, who will be equally covered by the TSO’s protection system in the event of threats. The product of the project are vehicles and firefighting equipment, which will be available on an equal basis (i.e. membership in the TSO and participation in rescue and firefighting operations, with the help of purchased vehicles). The project ensures a positive impact on equal opportunities for women and men. Strengthening the rescue capacity of TSO units and increasing the level of safety of the inhabitants of the region will be universal – equal for people of both sexes. In the ranks of TSOs there are both women and men who, having the appropriate competences, take part in actions carried out using their equipment. The applicant will be guided by the principle of gender equality when conducting tendering activities. The staff responsible for the implementation of the project shall have adequate knowledge of the obligation to respect the principle of equality between men and women and shall be able to apply this principle in their daily work on the project.
