The material scope of the project includes the following tasks: 1. Preparatory work – preparation of technical documentation, application documents and the Functional and Utility Programme of the “Underground Biosphere” exhibition. 2. Construction of accommodation facilities and an exhibition room as well as elements of small architecture at the Field Centre for Nature Education and Promotion of the Biosphere Reserve Bory Tucholskie (TOEPiPRBBT), 3. Design and execution: firehouses for wild pollinators, ornithological path and dendrological park, 4. Design and execution of the permanent exhibition "Underground Biosphere", 5. Investor supervision of construction works, 6. Purchase of basic equipment and specialist equipment and teaching aids for TOEPiPRBBT in Piła, 7. Purchase of a specialized off-road car for nature monitoring and educational activities, 8. Information and education campaign on the role of biosphere reserves, including information in the media, organization of national and international conferences, 9. Substantive contribution to popular science publications, 10. Printing of popular science publications, 11. Indirect costs. In order to implement the protective and development function of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship and Tucholski Landscape Park, logistic facilities will be equipped, an exemplary firehouse for wild pollinators and the creation of educational natural paths (ornithological and dendrological park) and the construction of a new building at the Center for Nature Education and Promotion of the Bory Tucholskie Biosphere Reserve (TOEPiPRBBT) together with an interactive educational room illustrating the importance of biotic and abiotic factors occurring underground for the biosphere. Part of the building at TOEPiPRBBT has been allocated for the accommodation function, thanks to which it will be possible to conduct several-day educational activities. The project also provides for the implementation of information and education activities in the form of a campaign on the role of biosphere reserves (including the organization of two conferences, campaigns in the media) and the development and publication of popular science publications. The project plans to use the following information and promotion tools: - placing logos on documents and materials related to the project, made public and addressed to project participants, - placing a description of the project on the website of the beneficiary and the entity implementing the project and on their profiles on social media, - placing an information board with dimensions consistent with the guidelines, - placing stickers on the purchased equipment, - informing the media about important stages, progress, project results - paid announcement, - making multimedia materials (photo materials), - presentation of the project at meetings and conferences, - own events. The applicant for the project is the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, while the entity implementing the project is the Tucholski Landscape Park. The project will run from 2023 to 2026. The total cost of the project is PLN 9 048 595.00 gross, of which PLN 9 042 495.00 are eligible costs and PLN 6 100.00 are ineligible costs. The ERDF co-financing of the project amounts to PLN 7 686 120.75 and the Applicant's own contribution to PLN 1 362 474.25. The project complies with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination set out in Article 9 of General Regulation 2021/1060 and the principle of equality between women and men. The works planned in the project required a building permit – Tucholski Park Krajobrazowy obtained a building permit – decision No GOST.30.2017 of 30 June 20217. It was amended by Decision No 2.3.2024 of 2 April 2024 as regards changes constituting significant and non-significant deviations from the approved construction project and building permit conditions.
