The aim of the project is to purchase 6 ecological, zero-emission, low-floor urban buses of the MAXI class, holding at least 70 passengers, using electricity accumulated by connecting to an external power source for propulsion, and to purchase infrastructure for charging them - 6 single-station, stationary charging stations for electric buses with direct current in a plug-in system. Both buses and chargers will be transferred in kind to Miejski Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjny Sp. z o.o. in Włocławek in exchange for the acquisition of shares by the Municipality of the City of Włocławek. They will be stationed on the premises of the operator, i.e. 87-800 Włocławek, ul. Rysia 3 on plots 3/1 and 5 KM 38 Włocławek. MPK Włocławek is a municipal company in which 100% of shares are held by the Municipality of the City of Włocławek. Existing rolling stock, due to the gradual increase in the transport offer, needs to be supplemented with new vehicles that will replace the oldest buses emitting the largest amount of exhaust gas. The Municipality of the City of Włocławek demonstrates the technical readiness of the project to be implemented by publishing a notice on 20.02. this year. proceedings for the award of public contracts in the form of an unlimited tender pursuant to the Public Procurement Act for the selection of the supplier. The purchase of modern electric buses is part of an environmentally friendly, dynamic, sustainable regional development. Green and low-emission urban transport and its accessibility for residents of Włocławek and parts of the Włocławek functional area will have a positive impact both on improving air quality by reducing automotive congestion in the city and thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as on the quality of everyday life and the functioning of residents by reducing traffic congestion and reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment. In order to ensure efficient communication services, it is also necessary to develop a network of charging stations for vehicles. They are an integral part of the transport system, necessary to create opportunities for the transition to low-emission transport. In the Włocławek Municipal Functional Area, the level of equipment in this type of infrastructure is not sufficient in relation to the needs resulting from the size of rolling stock and transport work performed. The scope of the project also includes the preparation of a feasibility study, project management, as well as information and promotion activities. It is planned to purchase plates informing about co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund, as well as to publish articles in local press at the beginning and end of the period related to the investment purchase, stickers for electric buses and for bus chargers. The implementation of the sustainable urban mobility project does not foresee actions that will create barriers for persons with disabilities. The bus rolling stock provides solutions tailored to the specific needs of potential disadvantaged people, i.e. women, people with disabilities, the elderly, people with reduced mobility, carers with children or dependents. Electric buses will be accessible to all social groups, on an equal and non-discriminatory basis, for both women and men. The passenger information system available in the supported infrastructure will enable voice information to be made available in different language versions. In connection with the implementation of the project, accessibility standards (i.e. architectural, information and promotion, digital) will be applied. Loaders supporting the work of buses will comply with the architectural standard to the full extent, as well as the space around their stationing. The charging infrastructure will be publicly available to all users (i.e. MPK Włocławek employees) and will not have barriers to use, which will ensure trouble-free use to the full extent.
