Land development at the Castle in Świecie

Subject matter of the proposal: developing the surroundings of the Teutonic Castle in Świecie and creating a functional public space for residents and tourists, which will improve the image of the Municipality, accentuate the charm of the Castle, increase the attractiveness of the area, provide entertainment and recreation. The area is located in conservation zone B, archaeological zone W and exhibition C, the area of the Vistula Landscape Park and the area of Natura 2000 habitat PLH040025 Zamek Świecie. The scope of the investment is divided into zones: *representative-execution of a composite observation deck for the Castle and the Wda River with seats and railings, surrounded by trees and low greenery, with a bicycle parking lot made of composite boards for commuters on the existing pedestrian-bike route, low lighting, *utility-educational-execution of an apiary with hives with wooden fence and wicket, with a winding path and educational boards and a belt of high melliferous shrubs; demolition of the building after the shooting range, *communication and recreation-making parking for bicycles with a surface of mineral aggregate, fine grain (20 racks-40 places) near the existing car park; execution of a bicycle path along the road with asphalt surface; installation of picnic tables and gazebos, surrounding the area with a grove in the undergrowth, * communication-making of a stone access road with a diversion and a belt made of concrete cube for pedestrians (extension of the existing road), *recreational-leisure-making: -Integrated playground for children, including children with disabilities (seat terraces and playgrounds: wide slides, rope approaches, climbing wall and trap, fitness kit, swing stork nest, trampolines, swing with ramp for strollers, merry-go-round, linarium pyramid, double swing, panel with steering wheel, panel with game, musical instruments: cajons, tubular bells, jackals; plaque with the rules of the square; safe surfaces such as rubber granules, sand, lawn); -two grassy badminton fields, -a large-format chess field with seats, -a brick hearth with seats, -a forest gazebo on a hill with winding composite stairs, -a composite observation deck on the slope with seats. Additional scope of investment: -execution of footpaths (water-permeable surface) and bicycle paths (bituminous nave) separated by flower meadows and trees, adapted to the needs of, for example, people with incomplete children, parents with strollers, -execution of pergola-tunnel covered with climbers along one of the pedestrian routes, -installation of small architecture: benches, picnic tables, city deckchairs, trash cans, bicycle racks; plantings: native trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, perennials, flower meadows, lawns; installation: houses for insects, nesting boxes for birds and bats; removal of mismatched elements of a small arch; -necessary felling of dead trees and shrubs, -execution of lighting (park lamps, accent lighting). The applicant has a design document, Building Permit Decision No 258/2022 of 20 May 2022, legally required arrangements. The project has a positive impact on equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities and equality between women and men. No equality barriers were identified. The applicant will take measures to ensure that equality principles are respected so that there are no such barriers at any stage of implementation. Detailed description - WOD section: ‘The project shall respect the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities’ and ‘The project shall respect the principle of equality between women and men’. Promotion activities: description on the Beneficiary's website and in social media (free of charge), information board (own cost outside the Project). Promotion activities and documents related to the implementation will be marked with the European Funds sign, the colours of the Republic of Poland, the EU sign and the coat of arms of the voivodeship. Value of funding: €1,145,162.50,i.e. PLN 5 366 345.99.
