Development of the Space Technology Park (stage I).

The subject of the project is the ‘Development of the Space Technology Park (Phase I)’, under which the following laboratories will be retrofitted: 1. Clean assembly, integration and testing room for satellite systems and subsystems, 2. Laboratory of Robotic Systems and Artificial Intelligence, 3. Laboratory of material engineering and endurance testing. The project will also include a modular office building with an area of 240 m2, co-working space for entities from the SME sector (start-ups) and a platform supporting entrepreneurs in the decision-making process regarding the use of space technologies in products and services. The investment will be carried out in the ‘design and build’ mode. A functional and utility program is prepared for a specific scope of investment. Main stages of the project: Task 1. Preparatory work. Task 2. Construction works and materials. Task 3. Space Technology Park equipment. Task 4. Investor supervision. Task 5. Certification of laboratories. Task 6. Compliance of the project with the principles of equal opportunities and non-discrimination. Task 7. Indirect costs. The main objective of the project is to: strengthening the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including through productive investment. The strategic objective of the project is to strengthen the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and to create jobs in SMEs - the development of innovative projects in the region. The development of the Space Technology Park in Zielona Góra aims to create a leading industrial and research center for space and satellite engineering and innovative industry in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The project assumes modernization of laboratory infrastructure, commercialization of research, incubation of innovative companies (start-ups). The potential for innovation inherent in the Lubuskie scientific community and economy, associated with the development of high-technology industries, including space technologies, is noticeable, which in turn will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the region. This will be achieved by strengthening the infrastructure dedicated to SMEs. Milestones: - modernization of infrastructure for which there is a demand from SMEs, -increasing the efficiency of commercialization of inventions arising in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, -increasing the potential of the Space Technology Park R&D+I to provide high-class support related to the real needs of entrepreneurs having an impact on the development of Regional Smart Specializations, -competitive conditions for the development of SMEs: positive balance of emerging enterprises and stable functioning of innovative business entities from the SME sector (start-ups), - increase in human capital, increase in employment in the region, and thus a higher quality of life in the Lubuskie Voivodeship, - networking in the region, resulting in an increase in the socio-economic potential of the voivodship, - increase in the potential of the Business Environment Institution (BEI) supporting the development of SMEs, - an undertaking as a driving force of the region. As a result of the implementation of the project, the comprehensiveness of services provided by individual laboratories operating in the IB will be ensured, understood as a combination of different services complementary to each other, forming a single whole, including, among others: The planned services will enable to increase the competitiveness and economic efficiency of enterprises from the SME sector operating in the Lubuskie voivodship, especially in the areas of Regional Smart Specializations (RIS).
