As part of this project, the Municipality of Skąpe plans to build a separate collection point for municipal waste, the aim of which is to improve the conditions for the functioning of the municipal waste management system and separate collection, as well as to increase the amount of municipal waste subject to re-use, recycling and recovery processes, thus reducing the amount of landfilled waste and reducing its negative impact on the environment. The waste will be sent to a point where it will be segregated and placed in appropriate containers. The project provides for the construction of a paved square and office and social buildings, warehouse, storage shed and container for hazardous waste. 1 container KP20, 2 containers KP12, 1 container KP7, 2 containers KP5 and 9 containers with a capacity of 1100 l will be placed on the square. The development also includes the execution of an ‘educational path’, the purchase of PSZOK equipment and information and education activities as well as info-promo activities. The area to be cured will be finished with concrete paving stones. In the part of the warehouse building there will be an exchange point for used goods, and the second part of it will be a warehouse to which used electrical and electronic equipment will be sent. Batteries and accumulators, used chemicals, expired medicines and waste ineligible for medical household waste will be stored in the hazardous waste container. In order to operate the separate collection point for municipal waste, one person will be employed. For this person, there is an office, a social room and cloakrooms and a sanitary facility in the office and social building. As part of the project, the equipment of the warehouse building will be purchased. In addition, educational and information activities will be carried out for the inhabitants of the Skąpe commune.
