The main objective of the planned project is to expand the functioning system of low-emission urban transport in the city of Zielona Góra. It includes measures to support the efficiency of low-emission transport and the reduction of CO2,PM10, nitrogen oxides, benzo-α-pyrene emissions, which will be achieved through the planned material scope, i.e. the purchase of 11 electric buses (partial replacement of diesel-powered rolling stock) and the purchase of 3 charging stations for electric buses (ineligible cost). Specific objectives of the project: • reducing the environmental pressures of urban transport by reducing pollutant emissions to air (CO2, PM10, NOx, benzo-α-pyrene); • improving the acoustic climate of the city; • increasing the competitiveness, attractiveness and quality of public transport in Zielona Góra; • promotion of electromobility in the city of Zielona Góra; • improving the quality of life and work in Zielona Góra; • improving the quality and attractiveness of the services provided by MZK. The project has a positive impact on the implementation of the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities (in accordance with the transport standard - public transport infrastructure). The buses, the purchase of which is the subject of the project, are adapted to the needs of people with mobility disabilities, the visually impaired and the hearing impaired, people with special needs, among others by equipping them with: • Wheelchair anchorage equipped with a button indicating the intention of the disabled person to disembark. The button will be located at the hand of the disabled passenger connected to the control on the driver's dashboard. The station will be equipped with a safety belt for attaching a wheelchair and a handle for attaching a baby stroller. • Ramp for the exit (entry) of a wheelchair or children's carriage, manually opened in the light of the second door, load capacity of the ramp min. 300 kg (European Union Directive 2001/85/EC). • Button indicating to the driver the need to open the ramp - outside at the door with the ramp for the trolley. • Buttons indicating the need to stop at the stop and open the door located inside the vehicle • Driver or auto computer equipped with a system of automatic voice internal information and voice external information activated by the remote control by a visually impaired person or from the level of the driver by the driver, the announcement volume of which will be adapted to the background volume in the range from 60 % to 100 % of the nominal value set. • There are boards on all buses displaying route information and voice messages. • Class buses: midi, solo and maxi are low-floor vehicles (without steps at the entrance and inside the vehicle) and are equipped with a kneeling function - lowering the vehicle at stops to a level that facilitates entry. In addition, all ticket machines available inside the buses are operated in Polish, German, English and Ukrainian. The purchased rolling stock is designed for all users, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, etc. And the planned equipment is to support its use by people with disabilities or special needs. The City of Zielona Góra has not taken and is not taking discriminatory action (therefore no corrective action was necessary) contrary to the principles referred to in Art. 3 of Regulation 2021/1060. The project is in line with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights of 7 June 2016 and in selected aspects the requirements of the CFR are neutral to the scope and content of the project.
