STATEMENT OF THE NEED FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT: The growing number of foreigners in Poland is a fact visible in every area of social life. We meet more and more migrants in their places of work and residence, they have become a natural part of our communities. Although this phenomenon is indisputable, it is difficult to determine the exact number of foreigners in Poland. This is mainly due to the lack of uniform data collection procedures. The scale of interest in migration to Poland, mainly for work, is incomparable to those we know from the past. The increasing number of foreigners is generating new challenges. They mainly concern issues related to the integration of migrants, in different dimensions of their functioning. Therefore, it is necessary to build a system of integration of foreigners. One of the ways to conduct comprehensive and structured integration activities will be the opening of Integration Centres for Foreigners. MAIN OBJECTIVE: Construction of a system of integration of foreigners in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. Deadline for completion: until 31.12.2025. The main objective of the project is in line with the specific objective set out in the programme, which is: Support the socio-economic integration of third-country nationals, including migrants. According to the assumptions of the project, it is planned to build integration structures for foreigners. Third-country nationals will benefit from the services to be proposed under the CIC. Support is planned in the field of, among others, conducting Polish language courses, adaptation courses, professional courses, offer of an information point, support of first contact assistants and offer of legal and psychological support. All these services will have a significant impact on the better functioning of foreigners in Polish society. The implementation of activities supporting the social integration of foreigners will contribute to faster environmental adaptation, social inclusion and building intercultural dialogue. These are important elements of building a sense of security in a new country. For the purposes of the implementation of this project, the Provincial Labour Office in Zielona Góra developed a diagnosis in which it analyzed the problems and needs in the area of project implementation. The activities planned in the project will correspond to the identified problems and needs in terms of integration of foreigners. Main results: - creation and operation of one CIC in Lubuskie Voivodship, - support approx. 600 foreigners in the field of social and professional integration activities, - a certain number of people who, after leaving the project, will take up employment, - a certain number of people who, as a result of participation in the project, will obtain qualifications/competences. STAGES OF PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION: - establishment of the CIC in Zielona Góra (from 2024) and appropriate equipment and adaptation to its activities, - employment of technical staff, - organisation and implementation of tasks provided for the CIC, - promotion of CIC activities. The project will have a positive impact on the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities (more later in the proposal).
