The TSO in Załęcz Wielki belongs to the CRSG and is located in the rural commune of Pątnów (district of Wieluń). The subject of the project is the retrofitting of TSOs. Its scope includes the preparation of the project (development of the application form for co-financing), the purchase of a new medium-sized rescue and firefighting car and the operation of the info.-prom. (e.g. poster, stickers). Reducing the negative effects of climate change requires investments in equipment to carry out rescue operations or remove the effects of natural disturbances or major chemical and ecological accidents (project type 5), in order to increase the efficiency of the operation of TSOs, which are an important element of the response and rescue system in the event of threats to people and property. The main assumptions of the project are: -strengthening the potential of TSOs in disaster management through investments in modern equipment; -support climate change adaptation, disaster risk prevention and resilience. The negative effects of climate change, including floods, droughts, heat and heavy rainfall unevenly distributed throughout the year, pose a high risk to human security, nature and the economy. There is an urgent need to strengthen resilience to these threats and to increase the capacity to respond to the impact of these threats. Worn out and outdated equipment limits the ability to react. The high risk of uncontrolled fires in a large area of the district (92 624 ha) is due to insufficient protection measures. The area of operation of the TSO also includes the protection of areas of natural value: nature reserves, landscape parks, protected landscape area, nature and landscape complexes, nature 2000 area. The negative effects of climate change can affect these valuable sites, causing their degradation and loss of natural value. The average number of trips to events (without economic trips) for the TSO unit in Załęcz Wielkie during the calendar year of the last three years is 5. The municipality of Pątnów is located in the Green Economy Area, indicated in the Development Strategy for the Łódź Voivodeship 2030, which means that the project's activities are crucial for the development of this area. The main objective of the project is to support resilience and adaptation to climate change and prevention of risks related to natural disasters and catastrophes through the purchase of a rescue and extinguishing car for TSOs in Załęcz Wielkie. Specific objectives: - Strengthening the operational capacity of the TSO unit in Załęcz Wielkie. - Increase the level of protection of commune and district areas against uncontrolled fires. - Reducing the risk and impact of uncontrolled fires on the population of the municipality and district. Measurable values for objectives reflect project output and result indicators. In recent years, the incidence of extreme meteorological and hydrological phenomena has clearly increased. The project will contribute to increasing the safety of people and their surroundings and the protection of valuable natural areas. The implementation of the project will increase the efficiency of TSO operations and enable quick and effective intervention. Acquisition of a new vehicle will increase the mobility of the TSO and shorten the travel time to the place of the event. As a result, the project contributes to the specific objective of the ERDF 2021-2027 by improving the intervention capacity of emergency services, which will increase the resilience of society and the environment to natural and catastrophic disasters.
