The main objective of the project is to support the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy. The project will support investments in separate waste collection, in particular through the construction and purchase of separate waste collection infrastructure (separate waste collection point, waste containers collected separately - project type 1a). The project includes the expansion of the Selective Municipal Waste Collection Point. The project includes construction and assembly works (architectural-construction, electrical, sanitary, road, construction and assembly of the shed and container, accompanying infrastructure). As part of the project, a management scheme functioning in the local government will be implemented, taking into account the participation of a person with rights (construction supervision - investor's supervision). The project directly aims to strengthen the institutional and technical capacity of the Municipality of Uniejów in the implementation of a public task - waste management and the implementation of a high-quality waste management system in the municipality. The separate waste collection system implemented will contribute to the transformation of social behaviour and will result in the transition to a circular economy mode (by implementing recycling schemes). The principles of universal design will be applied in the project. The project does not support or carry out economic activities that would cause significant damage to any of the environmental objectives. The project will be managed and implemented in accordance with the principles of equality and accessibility. The project will implement information and publicity obligations (information board). The project is ready for implementation (the applicant has the project documentation and decisions as well as the technical specification of fixed assets). The implementation of the project will contribute to creating favourable conditions for sustainable development and obtaining appropriate levels of waste recovery and recycling rates by the Municipality of Uniejów, and thus reducing the amount of waste deposited in a landfill or subjected to thermal treatment processes. The main recipient of the project will be all residents of the municipality of Uniejów. The investment will contribute to raising the level of environmental awareness among the residents of the municipality in order to reduce the amount of municipal waste generated and rational separation of municipal waste in order to achieve better and better recycling levels. The applicant intends to conduct meetings with residents on its own on the subject of waste segregation. The investment will lead to an increase in employment, creating 1 job (1 FTE).
