The main objective of the project is to improve the quality and efficiency of road transport in the Łódzkie voivodship, including ensuring convenient access to the TEN-T network (indirectly S8 and A1). Thanks to the expansion of the provincial road No. 482, a convenient transport connection will be created, which will increase the mobility of residents and increase the investment attractiveness of the region. The infrastructure will be resilient to climate change. In the existing state, provincial road No 482 on the section in question, i.e. from km 38+448 to km 39+498, runs entirely through the city of Zduńska Wola. It is a GP class road (former DK No. 12). Voivodship road No. 482 has a one-way street section with a different number of asphalt lanes, variable width in the area of the intersection additionally extended by lanes for turning right and left. Along the entire road there are walkways of variable width, both offset and pushed to the curb. On the section in question, DW 482 intersects with the district road No 4918E – ul. Jewish Ghetto – Class Z (collective). As part of this construction project, all paved road surfaces currently existing in the road lane, i.e. pavements, exits, roads, along with curbs and perimeters limiting them, were planned for demolition. In connection with the division of plots and the purchase of their parts for the designed road strip for demolition, fragments of fences are also provided for, and there is a need to rebuild the technical infrastructure conflicting with the road investment. The need to implement the project determines the poor technical condition of the provincial road No. 482. There are deformations, bumps, longitudinal and transverse cracks, numerous cavities and patches. The lack of a functional drainage system contributes to the deterioration of road safety conditions. The parameters of the road are not adapted to the scale of the conducted and forecasted traffic. The subject of the investment is a comprehensive extension of the provincial road No. 482 - ul. Łódź in Zduńska Wola on the section from km 38+448 to km 39+498. This is the first stage of the task. The investment aims to improve road traffic conditions, improve road safety and design solutions for road expansion to technical and geometrical parameters of technical class G, current traffic volume and existing land use. The first stage of the extension of the provincial road No. 482 in Zduńska Wola includes a section of road No. 1.05 km, which was covered by the decision of the Governor of Łódź Province No 118/22 of 14 June 2022. The scope of the first stage of the investment includes, inter alia: - extension of the provincial road, - extension of the intersection, - extension and reconstruction of the district road No 4918E ul. Jewish Ghetto, - construction of acoustic screens, - construction of pavements, - construction of bicycle paths, - demolition and construction of descents, - demolition and construction of rainwater drainage, construction of open trenches, demolition and construction of rainwater drainage outlets along with the strengthening of the trench, - demolition, construction and reconstruction of road lighting, - demolition and reconstruction of electricity networks, - demolition and reconstruction of the telecommunications network, - reconstruction of water supply networks, - reconstruction of the gas network, - construction of a technological channel. The asphalt road with a width of 7.0 m, running in the axis of the existing street course, limited on both sides by concrete curbs, was designed. Sectionally, widening of the roadway is planned in order to introduce additional traffic incorporation lanes. Intersection DW 482 with DP 4918E – ul.
