The aim of the project is to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare in the Łódzkie Region by extending and modernising the outpatient specialist care building at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Regional Specialist Hospital in Zgierz. The project also provides for the purchase of modern medical equipment and equipment, which will allow for more effective functioning of the facility and strengthening outpatient health care. In particular, it will enable the provision of a number of medical services in an outpatient mode without the need for hospitalization, which is currently required. The project includes the modernization and renovation of the existing outpatient specialist care clinic (AOS) with the area of: 1247.8 m2 and its extension. The planned activities include the implementation of necessary construction works, the purchase of new equipment for doctors' offices and the replacement of worn out medical equipment and equipment with modern diagnostic devices, including a gamma camera, ultrasound cameras, colonoscope, gastroscope, Echolaser, laryngological unit. Detailed delivery specifications are set out in Annex 2a to the WoD. The aim of these activities is to support the diagnosis and development of outpatient specialist care, in line with the provisions of the Partnership Agreement, which promote investments in health infrastructure and equipment, especially in the context of the development of day care and outpatient specialist care. The expansion of the clinic consists in the construction of a two-storey facility, which will be connected to the existing hospital and clinic buildings by means of connectors performing a communication function. Due to the limited space in the complex of the Provincial Hospital in Zgierz, the extension of the AOS facility is possible only through the proposed architectural layout. The new building will be equipped with modern architectural solutions, with an emphasis on functionality and optimal space development. The building area of the new part will be 1034 m2, usable area 1887.5 m2. The extended part of the clinic will include, among others, offices of Primary Health Care (POZ) for adults and children, as well as offices of specialist clinics, such as: gynecological, urological, ophthalmic, gastroenterological clinic, trauma-orthopaedic surgery, endoscopy and pain treatment. In addition, outpatient diagnostic and treatment rooms will be created in this part. The project also assumes the implementation of modern IT solutions, such as the development of a counseling system, a patient traffic management system. Computer equipment will also be purchased, which will contribute to improving the functioning of the IT infrastructure in the hospital and optimizing the institution's management processes. IT elements are necessary for the proper and effective functioning of the facility. The construction, installation and adaptation works will be carried out in the "design and build" formula, based on the prepared Functional and Utility Programme commissioned by the Maria Skłodowska-Curie SSW in Zgierz. The project assumes the following actions: 1. Preparatory work - development of the necessary technical and design documentation and obtaining the required administrative decisions enabling the implementation of the investment. 2. Construction works - renovation and modernization of the existing AOS clinic, extension of the clinic, land development. 3. Investor supervision. 4. Purchase and supply of necessary medical equipment. 5. Purchase and supply of IT equipment and systems. The implementation of the WSS project in Zgierz will contribute to the creation of a modern medical infrastructure, increasing the number of minimally invasive endoscopic procedures and improving the standard of health services provided, which will directly improve the quality of health care in the region. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the facility will be able to act as a unit offering a wide range of services under AOS.
