The subject of the project, of which the Applicant is the Municipality of Poddębice, is a comprehensive tourist and recreational development of the Ner river quay in Poddębice, through the creation of a riverside boulevard on the section from the Mill building at ul. Kilińskiego to the height of Geothermia Poddębice at ul. Mickiewicza 17A. The implementation of the project is an action aimed at improving the tourist and recreational attractiveness of the Poddębice Commune, including the use of the potential of the River Ner and turning the city of Poddębice towards this river. The need to implement the project results from the strategic assumptions of the Poddębice Commune and the analysis of demand and needs. The scope of the project includes the following tasks: 1. Preparation of application documentation – a task directly resulting from the fact that the Applicant applies for funding under Measure FELD.06.04 Culture and Tourism. The subject of the study is this application for co-financing, together with annexes. 2. Development of the Ner river quay in Poddębice – the task will be carried out in the ‘design and build’ mode, based on the Functional and Utility Programme developed for the project. In the competitive procedure, the applicant will select an external, specialized contractor who will prepare the necessary design documentation, obtain all the consents, permits, decisions and arrangements required by the applicable regulations, and carry out the construction works. It is expected that the final building permit will be obtained in November 2025, which will allow the works to start at the beginning of 2026. The planned date for completion of the works is November 2026. The project envisages the following works: -reconstruction of drainage ditch; -construction of a brine tower; -construction of a mineral-epoxide alley 2 m wide; -manufacture of composite pedestrian terraces; -construction of elements of small architecture and urban furniture (benches, including solar benches, waste bins, bicycle racks, concrete deckchairs, railings); -planting ornamental plants (perennials for shaded and sunny positions, lawns); -construction of terrain lighting installations (park and solar LED lamps) together with monitoring. The main goal of the project is to fit the boulevard into the surroundings, which is the River Ner. The project was composed in a natural character, giving the recipient great contact with nature and a lot of experience through the use of various materials. The concept of the project results, among others, from the student competition for the development of the area in question. Thanks to the implementation of the above-mentioned works, a functional, aesthetic, attractive and safe area on the banks of the River Ner will be created, constituting a meeting and recreation place for the inhabitants of the Poddębice Commune and people visiting Poddębice. The boulevard will be an additional attraction for tourists who visit the surrounding facilities, such as the Termy w Poddębice, the Manor Park with the Grudzinski Palace, the Safari Zoo in Borysew, or sports centers in Byczyna. The boulevard will be made available free of charge to all interested parties. Access to the boulevard will not be restricted in any way - no fence is provided for the site. As part of the task, investor supervision will be carried out in order to ensure the proper implementation of construction works. An element of the task is also the installation of plates with a QR code, referring to the created project website. The website will present information about the project and the tourist and cultural potential of the Poddębice Commune, including the natural and tourist values of the River Ner. 3. Indirect costs – the task will include administrative costs related to the operation of the project. As a result of the project, the tourist offer of the Poddębice Commune will be enriched with new tourist products, in the form of: 1. the boulevard on the Ner River in Poddębice; 2. brine tower.
