The beneficiary of the project is the commune of Koluszki, and the main stakeholders of the project are the residents of the commune and the entire Łódzkie voivodship. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation. The project assumes the implementation of an investment task consisting in the creation of a new tourist/cultural offer for the inhabitants of the Koluszki commune and the entire region. Creating a new offer means: a) Construction of a pedestrian and cyclist road – a tourist route ‘following the old railway – train to nature’; b) Expansion of tourist infrastructure in Lisowice (view tower 30m, path in the crowns of trees with an entrance tower, toboggan hill, barbecue gazebo 2 pcs., mini playground, camping service building, tent stands, cars with trailers, campers); c) Retrofitting of cultural infrastructure - renovation of the Tracks for the needs of the Koluszki Museum and replacement of armchairs in the cinema hall of the Odeon cinema in Koluszki; d) Information and education meetings for residents and staff working in the tourism and culture sector – promoting social innovation in tourism, including socially responsible, participatory and green tourism. As a result, conditions will be created for the development of the tourism economy based on the use of local potentials. Specific objectives: 1.increasing the tourist offer, 2.creating a unique tourist product, 3.increasing tourist traffic in the region, 4.creating conditions for the development of the tourist economy based on the use of the endogenous potential of the region, 5.improving the condition of tourist infrastructure, 6.promoting the potential of tourist infrastructure in the region, 7.economic development of the municipality and the region, 8.promoting the cultural potential of the municipality and the region, 9.increasing interest by potential investors, 10.improving the aesthetics of land development, 11.increasing the number of tourists visiting the Koluszki Commune. In addition, the most important benefits that are difficult to measure in the implementation of the project are: -increase in the dissemination of information on tourist and cultural attractiveness, -increase in cooperation between the tourism industry, -increase in awareness of the importance of tourism in socio-economic development, -increase in the effectiveness of local government activities - economic advantage, -increase in the level of identification of the society with the region. The implementation of the project is a response to the problems characterised – mainly the unsatisfactory position of the Municipality on the tourist map of the voivodship. Low competitiveness of the tourism economy of the municipality and the eastern district of Lodz compared to other more developed regions of the Lodz voivodeship, such as: The agglomeration of Łódź, Łowicz, Nieborów or Uniejów characterized by a rich tourist and cultural offer. Although the Koluszki Commune has all the components to become the main tourist destination for visitors to the Łódź Voivodeship, it still loses in this field with other regions. As a result of the project, new tourist products will be created, including a walking and cycling path, an observation tower, a bridge in the crowns of trees, a camping and camping field, a barbecue gazebo, a sledge hill. As a result of the project, it has been estimated that the number of people visiting cultural and tourist facilities supported will increase by 5 500.00 people. Every year, 8 000,00 cyclists will benefit from the cycling route. Due to its nature, the project is addressed to a wide group of people. Indirectly, the project will be addressed to all residents of the Łódź region, including mainly the eastern district of Łódź, and the effects of the project will be available to all residents of other provinces or countries. All products resulting from the project will be available free of charge, which is why the project does not affect trade between EU Member States.
